CM Education provides on-line vocational resources in the form of on-line Digital Libraries and subject areas covered include:
All libraries are now available with Interactive Course Guides which direct students straight to the relevant sections of the libraries and primary sources according to the Unit or topic being researched.
Part of the benefit of such guides is to drastically reduce the induction period students require to become accustomed to using the libraries.
Guides are available for several NQF Level 2 and 3 qualifications. For a full list of interactive course guides, click here.
CM Education's titles are unique in their provision of on-line vocational resources rich in both quality and quantity. The titles are designed with two principal objectives:
ILT champions in many colleges have welcomed CM Education's resources not least as a means of introducing students to the wide range of material available on the Internet while keeping them focused on their subject area.
The titles are continually updated, both in terms of content and technical back-up, with annual on-site notifications. Third party material is evaluated by CM Education to ensure that they meet our requirements. They are generally links to data within official/government sites; any other sites included for interest/breadth of research are marked accordingly. Links are to precise data, not to home pages. Third party sites are continually checked to ensure that links are live and relevant.
Although generally used on an institution-wide basis, the resources can be restricted to resource centre computers only. Access is normally by IP address recognition for your subnet. 24-hour access is also possible by username and password, making it possible for staff and students to research the data from home. Laptop usage is permitted.
